Our top priority is the health of the MetroWest region. The MetroWest Health Foundation is working closely with our community partners and grantees to evaluate how we can best assist communities as they deal with COVID 19.
One of the most important things we can do is help reduce the spread of the coronavirus by cancelling group meetings. To this end, we have postponed our annual dinner (March 26) and our Health Equity Training (April 2).
We are also cancelling all external organizations’ use of the foundation’s meeting rooms. All internal meetings and events will be moving to phone and/or video conference.
Out of concern for our employees, their families and the broader community, as of March 23 foundation staff will begin working remotely. Although our physical office will close, the foundation remains open for business, and we plan to remain active and responsive to your needs.
All staff remain available via email:
We will continue to support our grantees and understand that current circumstances may impact your work, especially in communities where there are significant health inequities. We are also developing specific actions that the foundation will undertake to address this public health emergency. This will most likely include changes to current grants, as well as additional grantmaking focused specifically on the impacts of COVID 19. Please email Senior Program Officers Rebecca Donham or Rebecca Gallo if there are issues and or needs you want to bring to our attention as we formalize these plans. These changes will be announced shortly on our website, our social media channels and via email.
Please continue to check our this site for information and resources on the coronavirus and updates to our work status.
