$3.3 Million Awarded to Local Nonprofit Organizations

May 06, 2021

The MetroWest Health Foundation today announced the award of over $3.3 million in grants to area nonprofit organizations. The bulk of the funds will support the region’s health and social service safety net by providing operating support to agencies that provide critical services such as primary medical and behavioral health care. In addition to these Basic Needs Grants, the foundation is also providing financial support to address needs resulting from COVID-19, including funding to address the social isolation of older adults and the development of services to support those coping with the anxiety, stress and loss associated with the pandemic.

This round of funding also includes a grant to the MetroWest Nonprofit Network to support the continuation of the Voices of the Community Project, a community-driven initiative to improve health outcomes in South Framingham.
