Much has changed in our communities over the last five months. Nonprofit organizations serving our community have been directly and indirectly impacted and have incurred additional expenses as they navigate the changes imposed by the federal government.
The Meeting the Moment grant program is designed to support nonprofit health and social service organizations that provide essential programs and services to vulnerable MetroWest residents. This is a one-time responsive grant program created to manage the impact of recent policy and funding changes.
To be eligible, organizations must be located in and serve at least one of the 25 towns served by the foundation. Eligible applicants must also meet the following criteria:
- Be a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization
- Have been operating for at least three years
- Primarily serve one or more of the following populations: low-income residents, older adults, individuals with behavioral health needs, LGBTQ+ residents, immigrants and/or refugees
- Provide one or more of the following services: housing support, food, legal aid, behavioral healthcare, insurance enrollment, health related outreach and navigation, and access to healthcare services
- Preference will be given to organizations that have received a grant from the foundation in the past four years
Funding levels are as follows:
- $10,000 for eligible organizations with annual operating budgets of $500,000 or less
- $20,000 for eligible organizations with annual operating budgets greater than $500,000
Grants will be made on a rolling basis until the funds are fully expended. Please direct questions to Becca at rdonham@mwhealth.org.
