Operations Update

June 01, 2020

To date, the MetroWest Health Foundation has awarded over $364,000 in emergency grants to 53 area agencies working in response to the COVID 19 pandemic. These grants are supporting a variety of critical services including the distribution of food and basic necessities, tele-health and tele-behavioral health services and equipment and supplies for those serving vulnerable populations.

In addition, staff of the foundation are working with various community agencies, hospitals, and public health departments to ensure needed services remain operational. We are also working to assess current and projected needs as the pandemic continues. Information about the impact of the virus on our 25 communities can be found on our website.

The website has been updated with tips and resources for managing during the pandemic. This includes tips for dealing with anxiety and stress that may come from prolonged social isolation and loss of regular school or work routines. The website also has information to help community agencies as they prepare to re-open in accordance with state regulations and guidance.

The foundation remains open for business, although our offices are closed to visitors. We are available to respond to your needs via phone (508-879-7625) or email at info@mwhealth.org
